I am a junior Political Science major with a minor in Legal Studies. I grew up in Syracuse, New York and I currently attend the State University of New York at Fredonia. I am president of Fredonia's Campus Climate Challenge, Vice president of Fredonia's Department of Environmental Affairs, events chair for Fredonia's Political Science Association and a writer for the student newspaper, The Leader. I attended New Hampshire SPROG and Change It! in the summer of 2007. I am incredibly excited about being accepted into the BECC fellowship program and cannot wait to start the semester!

I'm Cassidee Shinn and I am a current BECC Fellow at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I am a junior studying Biology with a concentration in Ecology and minoring in Environmental Studies. I am also the V.P of UNLV's Sierra Student Coalition. Our campaign for this semester is to get our Sustainability Task Force to redraft a sustainability policy that suits the students' wants and to get our university's president to sign it.

Bridget Ulrich

Bridget is a Sophomore Chemical Engineering student at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities (UMTC), and is the Campus Sustainability Task Force leader for MPIRG's UMTC Chapter. She works as a Student Engineer for UMTC's Energy Management Department, and is also conducting research on catalysts for the more efficient production of biodegradable, renewable polymers under UMTC's Department of Chemistry. In her spare time she enjoys playing cello and reading whatever sparks her interest, although Kurt Vonnegut and the Onion are among her favorites.

Heather Sprouse

Heather started organizing with the Charleston Area Youth Environmental Network’s group Leveling Appalachia , fighting to stop mountaintop removal coal mining in West Virginia and greater Appalachia . She is studying Sociology as a sophomore at Marshall University and is working with Marshall Action for Peaceful Solutions, a group actively campaigning for the Campus Climate Challenge to push for more sustainable energy practices and general social responsibility on campus. Immediate plans for the future include a student led garden, establishing a sustainable recycling and composting program and having the President’s Climate Commitment signed and supported. Outside of school Heather enjoys hiking in the West Virginia mountains, swimming, reading and good music.
